Our Mission
To shift the culture to a more compassionate world that’s safe for affection and connection for everyone.
Land Acknowledgment
Cuddle Sanctuary’s home office is located on the unceded lands of the Tongva, Gabrielino, and Kizh peoples. You can discover whose land you’re on by visiting this site.
Our Values
Cuddle Sanctuary events and trainings are created to be a gentle place to land – especially for our friends in marginalized groups. We strive to create a welcome place regardless of a person’s race, sexual and gender identity, ability, body size, immigrant status, and age. To attend Cuddle Sanctuary events, you must honor our guidelines and be respectful of each other. As community leaders, if we fall short, please let us know. We commit to listening, learning and growing.
ABOUT RACE
Cuddle Sanctuary’s credo of being warmly welcoming to all was never good enough. Deep in our hearts, I think we always knew that. Systemic racism is vicious; much more is needed to make things right in our hurting culture.
The 21 Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge is part of our training curriculum.
We commit to sharing power, speaking up and taking action in a variety of ways including:
- Amplify the voices of wellness professionals of color
- Be a resource for people with white privilege to learn about systemic racism
- Support organizations, people and efforts striving for racial equity
- Integrate diversity lessons into our training
- Offer scholarships to people of color (to sponsor a student, click here)
