Maybe it has something to do with turning 50 last year. Maybe it’s because of the pandemic. My health is fine; I’m not going anywhere. But I have noticed in myself a shift in my attention towards legacy. It started six months ago.

The dictionary speaks of legacy as a gift but also something transmitted from the past. I’d like to adopt both ideas – that my presence here today might be a future gift for others.

Pockets of Jean

Six months ago, I started creating weekly Cuddle Queen Jean videos. They’re full of life and creativity – little pockets of me. I’m so proud of my colorful efforts with that. But it didn’t fully scratch the legacy itch.

I knew what I had to make.

The project was big, but even so I had to build it. I needed to build a class to teach people everything I knew about leading cuddle events.

I’ve spent years refining and perfecting these events so that a group full of strangers could transform in a few short hours into a pod of trusting, huggable friends.

I already created an in-person program to do that very thing. (Some of you have attended it!) But what I had to do now was make it available to people everywhere. It had to be a scalable, online, course. That took six months, too!

Leadership Guide for Cuddle Events

June 15th is the official launch of my pride and joy, my legacy class, Leadership Guide for Leading Cuddle Events. There will be celebratory discounts!

But if you or someone you know feel the call to bring cuddle events to your community, you can seize the day, and make it your own now.

Do you ever think of legacy?

Have you ever, like me, been captured by the concept of legacy? I don’t expect your style to necessarily be like mine – I like to build stuff. But I am mighty curious what your legacy journey is, or might be. Please comment below!
